Call for Gateway to Gold Volunteers

Sanner's Lake Members and Friends,

I am reaching out to ask for your help again with our 3rd Gateway to Gold event.  We need volunteers to help on the following date/times:

Saturday, October 1st
7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Last year we hosted approximately 75 disabled veterans and paralympic candidates from our local community and Fort Belvoir.  We hope to have as many or more participants again this year.  We had a team of 120 volunteers that worked hard all day to make the event great for these folks.  We hope to recruit as many volunteers as we had last year again. Please see all the tasks we need volunteers in the box to the right of this letter.

I have had the opportunity to volunteer at our 2 previous events and it has been a very special and extremely rewarding experience.  I highly recommend it.

Lunch is going to be provided once again by Mission BBQ.  We are so fortunate to have such a generous organization as one of our partners in this event.

Breakfast will also be provided again, details to follow.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to volunteer or sponsor our event.  All staffers must register. Our goal is to have our volunteer roster completed by 9/15/16.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Participant Registration

If you know a disabled veteran or a paralympian candidate, please have them register for the event at the following link: Click on the Gateway to Gold Registration Form on the right hand side.

Another way you can help this event be success is to help us find other sponsors for this event.  If you know of a company that would like to sponsor our event, please forward the sponsorship request letter.  Last year we found a lot of support with our local companies.  Please let us know who you have solicited for sponsorships so we can prevent those folks from receiving multiple requests.  If you want to, you are welcome to sponsor the event as well.  The monetary donations are tax deductible if you follow the instructions on the attached letter.

In addition to corporate sponsors we welcome individual sponsors for the event as well.  The monetary donations are tax deductible if you follow the instructions in this donation letter.  While the letter is more geared towards corporate sponsorship, ANY amount of donation is welcomed and needed!
