New membership open enrollment runs August through December each year. The membership year itself runs August 1 – July 31.
How do I renew my membership?
Our membership system (WildApricot) sends out renewal emails plus several reminders — follow the link in the email to renew. You can also click the renewal submenu in the member menu and follow the instructions there, including printing the form for mail-in renewals.
Note: paying by credit card usually involves a credit card processing fee.
Is there a cap on membership?
Yes. Regular membership is limited to 750 members.
Membership Cards
When will my membership card arrive?
Cards are mailed in batches via USPS during membership season. You can also pick yours up in person at the clubhouse — pickup dates and times are published each August.
I never received my card / I lost it. What now?
Replacement cards are printed at each indoc/orientation class for new, lapsed, renewing, or lost cards. If you need one urgently, email sannerssecretary@gmail.com.
I moved. How do I make sure my card reaches me?
Update your mailing address in your member profilebefore cards mail. Cards sent to an old address come back to us and delay your replacement.
To update: log in to your SannersLake.org account, click "View Profile" next to your name, then "Edit Profile" — and click Save when you've finished your changes.
Gate Access
How do I get a gate access card?
New members receive both their membership card and RFID gate card upon completion of the INDOC/orientation class.
My gate card stopped working. What do I do?
Email sannerssecretary@gmail.com with your name and a description of the problem (lost card, card not scanning, etc.).
Replacement gate/RFID cards are $5. Mail payment to: SLSC PO Box 1300 Lexington Park, MD 20653
Range Use
When is the range open?
General range hours are sunrise to sunset. Shooting hours are 9:00 AM to 15 minutes before sunset. Check the live conditions panel on our homepage for today's exact sunset time.
Can I bring guests?
Yes. Complete the liability waiver for each guest. Tear off the receipt — your guest must carry it at all times while on club grounds — and leave the completed top half at a range, the clubhouse, or with the person in charge of your event.
Are matches open to non-members?
Yes. Our matches and many classes are open to the public. Check the club calendar for dates.
Meetings & Classes
When and where are club meetings?
Board of Directors: first Thursday of each month. Member meetings: second Thursday of each month.
All meetings are held at the SLSC clubhouse, 21374 Sanner's Lane, Lexington Park, MD 20653.
The Annual Member Business meeting is usually held at a larger venue in the Lexington Park area due to attendance — this year's is at the Elks Lodge. Future venues are announced each year, so watch the club calendar.
How do I sign up for orientation / indoc class?
The INDOC class is the NRA-certified Range Safety Officer (RSO) class. You may choose whether or not to take the NRA certification — either way, the class ensures every member follows the basic safety protocols in our SOP.
Once you pay your new membership fee, the SLSC membership director will forward you the class signup link.
What classes does the club offer?
Including Women on Target, Personal Protection Inside/Outside the Home, NRA Pistol and Rifle courses, and Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL) courses. See the calendar for what's currently scheduled.
